About Renewing Israel
Renewing Israel is an independent editorial platform dedicated to long-form reflection on how Israel responds to crisis through resilience, renewal, and innovation.
At a time when Israel is often discussed only at moments of conflict, vulnerability, or controversy, Renewing Israel focuses on what follows: rebuilding, institutional learning, civic responsibility, and long-term renewal.
This is not an advocacy site, and not a news outlet. Renewing Israel is a serious ideas platform, committed to intellectual honesty, moral clarity, and respect for complexity.
What We Publish
Renewing Israel publishes long-form essays intended to endure beyond daily headlines and news cycles. The work is reflective rather than reactive, analytical rather than polemical.
Stories That Endure
Our published work includes:
- Insightful essays and op-eds on Israeli innovation, security, and resilience
- Field-based reflections from civil society, universities, healthcare institutions, startups, and volunteer networks
- Strategic analysis on defence, technology, deterrence, and national renewal
- Curated contributions originally published in The Times of Israel and other international outlets
Essays are written for thoughtful readers seeking clarity rather than commentary, and depth rather than immediacy.
Why Innovation Matters
Innovation in Israel is not ornamental.
It is developed to save lives, defend democratic institutions, rebuild communities, and shorten wars. From missile defence systems to medical AI, from startups to volunteer networks, innovation is one of the ways Israel reduces suffering — for itself and, often, for others.
In this sense, innovation is not only a strategic asset.
It is a moral one.
Independence and Structure
Renewing Israel operates as an independent editorial initiative hosted by AIM London – Academy of Innovation and Management London, a registered nonprofit organisation. This structure ensures financial transparency while safeguarding full editorial independence.
Support sustains the platform’s work; it does not shape its content. Editorial decisions are not influenced by donors, partners, or institutions.
From Renewal to Responsibility
Renewal is not only about systems and strength. It is also about responsibility — to truth, to memory, and to those permanently affected by conflict.
Renewing Israel is intellectually aligned with the Resilience & Renewal: Innovating the Future of Israel project, which focuses on supporting wounded, disabled, and traumatised IDF veterans. The platform documents renewal; the project helps meet the responsibility it creates.
Renewal that forgets its wounded is incomplete.
Readers, institutions, and partners are invited to engage thoughtfully with this work as it develops.
